Editing a Site in Google Sites

In this lab, we will begin editing our Google sites page, where we are going to develop our Final Project.
Use headphones and watch the video (s) inserted in order to guide yourself in this process:

Now it is time to edit your own site!

Be sure to check which layout to be used, the pages that fit your objectives, the ones problably not, images to insert, possible adaptations on color, format, etc.

Verify the Final Project instructions (at Umg virtual) in order to include all the necessary elements required according to the type of page you are creating, in this case for Education.

Remember this lab is just the first step on the planning of your page. It is not for you to finish everything today!

Instructions:

1. Use your gmail account for the edition of your site. Access to this account.
2. Begin exploring the possibilities you have on this site, first create a page by getting to know the tools the site offers.
3. Keep in mind the following advices on edition:

Create a first page as an introduction and table of contents
Set up a structure around the goals/themes identified in purpose statement
One page for each theme with links to first page (home)
Upload artifacts to page or create hyperlinks to documents online
Create your sub-pages by topics
Insert all of the components each one of the topics/electronic tools have. Be sure to use the information on sources, and AVOID COPYING AND PASTING it, instead, you have to develop your own definitions.
Include examples and class applications for each source.
Include enough data, information, examples, and pictures
Also include the specific links to other subpages and home site
Write reflections about each application, and if possible use other sub-components or even other pages to complete information
Be sure to Publish site online and also to save it every time you are desingning it. Changes can be done later as you develop it. You can even change the format and the layout, but try to keep it consistent.
Pages can be added, changed on their data or name. They can even be totally erased. For this follow the path: More actions - Manage Site - Site settings - General - delete site.
Keep your site simple, but with meaning. Try to use the same style on documents, pages, sub-pages, elements included, fonts, titles, and the formats used.

Remember to personalize your page!

When done, save the link to your site, and copy and paste it at the Forum open at Umg Virtual. Be creative!
